VECTOR TECHNOLOGIES Announces Partnership with Intraway to Streamline Automation Integration for Communication Service Providers

VECTOR TECHNOLOGIES leverages Intraway’s Symphonica automation platform for their current and future customers, enabling CSPs to reduce manual tasks, eliminate human errors, and improve Quality of Experience while reducing operating expenses and lifecycle management costs. This comprehensive solution supports most API protocols in market standards, having over 90 southbound connectors and over 15 northbound integrations available in its library. VECTOR TECHNOLOGIES, using its experience and competence in the field of access network technologies, will be able to efficiently implement and provide the Symphonica automation platform’s maintenance services to CSPs worldwide. “Implementing automation and orchestration systems into a CSP’s environment is a complex process that requires extensive network technology expertise on the one hand, and a comprehensive and reliable solution that fits into any network environment on the other,” said Paweł Plato, Sales Engineering Director in VECTOR TECHNOLOGIES. “That’s why we chose to partner with Intraway, whose Symphonica impresses with its versatile API library supporting most market standards and has already been introduced in many networks. With this partnership, we are able to provide seamless integration with network systems, bringing significant benefits to our customers.” “VECTOR TECHNOLOGIES has proven to be a valuable Partner for Intraway. They have invested significant time and engineering resources to understand Symphonica and build innovative solutions around it,” said Mark Abolafia, SVP, Global Channel Program at Intraway. “We’re looking forward to building a strong business together.” VECTOR TECHNOLOGIES can already boast of the newly tailored automation and orchestration offer with Intraway’s Symphonica as a heart of processes in a network environment that is already arousing the interest of their customers. The state-of-the-art solution will be presented to a wide audience at the FTTH Conference in Madrid on 18–20 April, where both companies will showcase an engaging demo that interactively demonstrates the Symphonica operation process to the visitors.

GPON and XGS-PON Rollout – Why multi-vendor interoperability doesn’t run that smoothly

The global GPON market is expected to grow at an annual rate of about 10% over the next 10 years, driven by broadband initiatives, for example, undertaken by government agencies. Currently, operators are gradually deploying a new version of the XGS-PON standard in parallel with the older GPON solutions still present in their networks, while considering future-proof concepts such as NG-PON2. Providers face challenges in ensuring supply chain continuity for today’s deployments and future needs for the evolving xPON access and the diverse new use-cases and business models. In response to these challenges, many Communications Service Providers are adopting a multi-vendor strategy, moving away from the model of a single homogeneous network containing equipment from a single provider with full responsibility for the correctness of all their functionality. In particular, the wholesale service providers’ sales model assumes that the OLT they use must work together with ONT subscriber equipment selected by the retail operators concerned, which may come from many different suppliers.
