To ensure multi-vendor interoperability between selected OLTs and the many ONU options available on the market, telecoms are forced to test the correct operation of all the functionalities in advance. Unfortunately, GPON / XGS-PON standardization is not a cure for the interoperability issues in a multi-vendor environment.
Looking for savings on equipment
Rollout exceeds vendor capabilities
New firmware version is released
Dual-vendor strategy is introduced
Current HW platform is discontinued
NetCo/ServCo model come out
Testing your xPON solutions interoperability does not have to require building and managing a dedicated team of specialists that could jeopardize your operating costs. However, handing it over to your vendors runs the risk of not getting objective recommendations.
Outsourcing interoperability testing to an independent and experienced third party ensures objective results and OPEX control.
We provide a fully adaptable interoperability testing choice, tailored to your needs with independent assessment and troubleshooting.
Using an external engineering support enables you to clear the testing backlog and unlock the development of your xPON infrastructure
Independent recommendations regarding the tested platform and a proposal to mitigate the encountered problems
Our goal is to solve your problems rather than just detect them. As an output, you receive the interpretation of the results, with troubleshooting and guidance on next steps
The test manager will keep you updated on the progress of the project and provide your feedback to the project team to calibrate the work
We open a line of contact and engage in arrangements with your vendors to solve identified problems
Based on the test results conclusions and with the use of automation, we can simplify and accelerate your future test runs
Firstly, together we will set your business objectives for your xPON architecture development, with full support and advice from our professionals to plan the best scenario for your network.
In the next step let’s specify the lead time and scope of work, and on this basis we can estimate the resources and the requirements for building a laboratory environment, and create a test plan for you.
While conducting tests, we not only inform you whether the tests passed or failed, whether the equipment is interoperable or not, whether it is compliant with the standards or not, but we can also indicate what went wrong, what is the cause of the failure and what is the solution.
For the subsequent versions of the software in your xPON system the improvement faze allows us to enhance the next test runs by applying tailored automation tools, adding additional set of tests or omitting unnecessary ones.
Identifying functional deficiencies in the software at the implementation stage, integration of new solutions in the system, or optimizing the performance of the xPON network engages experts in repetitive, complex, and time-consuming testing tasks.
Our expert team significantly reduces the time and costs of the deployment while accelerating your rollout and keeping your operating expense in control.
We endeavor to tailor what we offer to match your business model in the best way possible. That is why we do not usually sell products off the shelf, as in this type of highly complex environment, each network is unique and requires an individual approach.
However, to meet your expectations and help you decide what tests we recommend you to perform, you can choose from the range of possibilities offered by our xPON Testing as a Service, including, but not limited to:
See what we offer below and choose the best option for you. Still cannot decide?

The verification of GPON / XGS-PON ONU adherence to the relevant BBF and ITU-T technical specifications, with the use of an OLT Emulator
Check if the device you introduce to the network is compliant with the standards and whether the equipment passes the TP-247 test plan. Verify the conformance of GPON / XGS-PON ONUs to the standard requirements (defined in TR-156 and TR-280), OMCI adherence to the practices described in Appendix I and II of G.988.
Have you already verified the compliance of the ONU with the standards? As the next step you can check, in a real scenario, whether the OLT – ONU equipment communicates correctly.
Based on the already deployed OLT in your network, use the xPON Analyzer to check whether communication between the OLT and the ONU is fully functional. Tests are conducted in accordance with BBF Test Plans: TR-255 and TR-309.
Before you deploy hundreds of items in your customers premises, check all the requirements of your topology, platform or system, choosing our pre-deployment functional and performance tests.
We provide you with tests that include all the individual features and elements of your network architecture before its installation.
Select the edge-to-edge integration and testing on a specific configuration to check whether the given configuration in which the service is provided can be run in the system.
You should receive a ready-made template of the configuration that works all the way to your customer’s premises.
What you receive are test results that go far beyond raw data. You gain a full results analysis and interpretation, including troubleshooting and feedback on the improvement to assure the problem is solved, not only its identification.
Furthermore, as your partner, we can lead communications with your vendors, testing tool manufacturers, or standardization forums – you do not need to get involved in all the arrangements, as we represent your interest.
